Full-Time Accounting Assistant, Corporate Accounting – Muscat
To assist our Finance and Accounting team grow, we’re seeking for a dynamic Junior Accountant. Vendor onboarding, AP and AR invoice processing, monthly close reconciliations, and a variety of accounting tasks will be your responsibilities in this position. - Studying current and future laws, ensuring adherence to regulations, and advising management on essential measures, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal obligations.
- Accounting issues should be approached from a problem-solving perspective rather than a problem-focused one.
- Assists in the preparation of tax packages for businesses and investment organizations, including debt sections, to be submitted to the Internal Revenue Service.
- Has excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- With each day, cash is posted to the account. The person who helps with this includes recording electronic wires and book transfers through daily cash receipts, as well as gathering any necessary backup (e.g. distribution calculation, supporting emails).
- Intercompany schedules are created and maintained to ensure accurate interest calculations and compliance with partnership agreements and management guidelines. Ascertains that the appropriate information is found and recorded (e.g. terms and accounts).
- When making and updating depreciation schedules and journal entries, he or she follows business rules (e.g. consistent application of accounts and depreciable lives).
- Determine whether your revenue reporting corresponds to both contract and technical revenue recognition recommendations by examining your contracts.
- Encourage and facilitate the creation and maintenance of positive working relationships with customers.
- Keeps financial information discreet, which builds trust and safeguards operations.
- In a fast-paced setting, the capacity to perform well under pressure, manage several conflicting goals, and fulfil deadlines.
- It is necessary to have one year of experience in bookkeeping or an equivalent accounting or finance job.
- Has strong analytical skills, is a natural mathematician, and has a good eye for small things. He or she has worked with accounting software like Great Plains ERP systems or another one like that.
- This role requires a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance (equivalent experience considered)
- Excellent MS Office capabilities, especially intermediate MS Excel skills, SharePoint, and Teams.
