The General Accountant must be a strong, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can assist in the development and management of connections throughout State Street and with a diverse group of associates, based on trust, collaboration, and expertise. Strong communication skills, both vocal and written, are necessary.

Qualifications:
- Competence in accounting and finance, as well as a thorough understanding of financial services accounting and reporting.
- Prepare the necessary papers, including all essential information, to request payment authorization from the department.
- Accounting software allows you to enter information and search for it. The package contains information on payments, budget balances, purchase order information and balances, and vendor information.
- This position necessitates a bachelor’s degree.
- Capacity to deal with All vendor invoices are compared against purchase orders to confirm that the prices, terms, descriptions, and quantities, as well as any discounts and shipping charges, are accurate.
- You should deliver voucher paperwork and approvals to the appropriate departments when you’ve matched all of the inbound files for processing.
- A demonstrable track record of advancement, management, and business success is required, as well as a minimum of 3–5 years of total experience, preferably in a large financial services organization, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
- Experience as a general manager and superior problem-solving abilities
- Examine the payment schedule and determine when payments should be made.
- Experience in a related field, such as accounting or office administration.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of accounting and reporting in the financial services business, as well as subject matter experience in accounting and finance.
- Integrity is necessary, as are interpersonal skills.
- Using the monthly statement, reconcile each vendor’s bills.
