Qualifications:
- Conceiving product reviews, cooking instructions, and interviews with professional chefs for print and digital publications.
- Assigning acceptable sources, background material, formatting standards, and deadlines to writers who are working on their projects.
- conceptualizing ways to include recipes and tales into the brand’s larger editorial strategy, as well as developing and presenting concept ideas for all media (digital, print, social, podcast, video, etc)
- Manage journal submission, publication, and transfer volume goals, as well as target turnaround time frames, effectively on an annual basis.
- In order to ensure that your journals deliver the greatest possible author experience, you must also ensure that the involvement of the Editors in Chief and Editorial Board Members (EBM) is maximized, since we depend on their engagement.
- The best way to deal with content that raises issues such as excessive violence, explicit language, or commercial product placement is to use well-articulated observations and practical, helpful guidance.
- Check commercials from the beginning to ensure that they adhere to corporate brand standards and regulatory regulations, and examine a broad variety of marketing, scientific, and other information that supports the claims made in advertisements.
- Work with other departments to ensure that all departments are on the same page when it comes to content creation.
- Find and evaluate departmental procedures with the purpose of developing creative ideas that will enhance the way we conduct business.
- Build solid ties with colleagues in the production, JEO, IT, and other areas. This will ensure that any issues that emerge with your journal can be resolved swiftly and efficiently.
Skills:
- Competence and proficiency in the use of online publishing and content management systems, as well as content production tools such as Adobe Photoshop
- On a daily basis, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work with workers at all levels, as well as coordinate with a team, are required.
- Capability to communicate effectively with individuals from many departments (Art, Photo, and Test Kitchen), at all levels of the business, and with freelancers/outside contributors
- Having of the competence to effectively manage a large number of competing priorities and time-sensitive tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in journalism or writing is necessary, as is some familiarity with SEO and newsletter design.
