An integral part of the Front Office Receptionist’s role is to ensure that patients have a positive experience while also handling routine administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Keeps the office and its public spaces tidy and safe (copy room, kitchen, conference).
- prepares, maintains, and revises written materials such as records and files.
- It ensures the smooth running of the workplace by recording and relaying information about events, unusual occurrences, and ongoing requirements.
- Answer, screen and direct all incoming phone calls to the appropriate party in a timely manner.
- does a variety of clerical duties as needed for the position; utilizes a computer to compose simple letters, enter data, and print labels, reports, and other documents.
- Staff at the clinic sort incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate individuals.
- Takes messages, directs calls, and acts as a general information and help desk for customers. Along with answering common inquiries, they also welcome visitors and patients and help them to the right location.
- makes carbon copies or other duplicates when required; clinic staff may get facsimiles that have been made and transmitted.
- As a gesture of hospitality, provide all guests coffee, water, tea, and clear instructions on how to locate the facilities.
- As needed for the role, may carry out specialized services of a routine clerical nature, adhering to all established procedures.
Skills:
- the ability to express oneself clearly in both spoken and written form (or electronically).
- One of the most desirable qualifications is at least six months of experience working in a medical or dental clinic.
- Capacity to write and/or type basic documents such as letters, labels, and memos.
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant computer software is required (e.g., medical and pharmacy programs).
- A minimum of three years’ experience in administrative, clerical, or a closely related field is required.
