The primary role of a Cost Accountant is to ensure item costs are accurate. This is done by regularly auditing product costs, bills of material, routings and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Analyzes Production Financial Reports by obtaining and reporting financial data quickly and accurately.
• While performing a number of jobs, you must engage with people on a variety of levels and in a variety of situations.
• It will help if you have prior SAP experience.
• You should know how to use Microsoft Excel.
• Written and verbal communication skills are outstanding.
• It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• The BOM, labor routing, and OH allocation must all be used to determine the cost of new goods.
• Present your results to management for a better knowledge of the P/L, cost drivers, and cost forecasts.
• The salary for this position is based on your years of experience.
• Using a direct deposit is essential.

Skills:

• You must assist in the preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
• Ability to think critically.
• Managing multiple things at the same time is a difficult task.
• Responsible and forward-thinking are two words that come to mind while describing this individual.
• A solid understanding of enterprise resource planning systems as well as a focus on internal controls are required (ERP).
