Full-Time Facilities Technician – Effon-Alaiye
Job Description
The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor and is responsible for the care of the company’s buildings and grounds, as well as the upkeep of all allocated equipment. Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all corporate buildings and grounds, including roads, parking lots, ditches, and other related locations. Including, but not limited to, general cleaning, painting, flooring, door and hardware repair, roofing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and concrete work.

Qualifications:
- Delegate routine, operational tasks to members of a team based on agreed priorities.
- Many semi- and skilled activities go into building, structural, and grounds maintenance. Ensure the building’s problems are dealt with (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- Performs complicated maintenance repairs and analysis. Consistently installs systems and equipment according to regulations, ordinances, and laws. Maintains and tests department emergency systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. If needed, escalates to Lead Tech/Supervisor for clarification.
- The facilities department may use a work order management system to plan maintenance, projects, and general work orders to satisfy the department’s important requirements.
- It also performs high-level data analytics and alarm reporting activities, and it integrates and modifies alarms and trend sets.
- This individual is responsible for ensuring the correct functioning of central plants and all other facility-related activities.
- Through rounding and issue management, ensures that all entities are thoroughly monitored; identifies opportunities for complex facility improvements, provides recommendations and work orders, and supervises the completion of these improvements in order to enhance the customer experience and improve service levels.

Skills:
- language skills adequate to carry out the essential responsibilities of this profession, especially in connection to activities that affect patient or employee safety or security, are required..
- have a lot of experience in at least one trade. This could be carpentry or plumbing or electrical or painting or roofing or heating and cooling or general maintenance.
- The ability to demonstrate that one has the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to properly do the given work, as evaluated by ongoing skills, competence, and performance evaluations
- A high school diploma or an equivalent education is required (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- To execute job activities that include standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, cramped postures in tiny openings and climbing hand over hand while lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders or lifts in environments that are noisy, hot, dusty, or cold is required.
