Qualifications:
- In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day-to-day operations.
- office activities including payroll, cash management, invoice processing, and more need to be analyzed and set up.
- Communicate with the hospital to promote goal-setting and problem-solving in cooperation with the Clinical and Practice Management Leadership.
- Work with HR to identify, probe, and address employee issues during the hiring, retaining, and firing of personnel.
- Keep up-to-date understanding of software platforms for data collection, storage, and retrieval for managerial reporting.
- Manage staff and maintain tabs on how the clinical, administrative, and billing departments are faring in their daily operations.
- Scheduling associates, scheduling vacation time, and managing continuing education requirements
- Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service.
- Build and oversee office supply and equipment purchasing plans.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following all applicable health and safety rules and regulations from the city, state, and federal levels, as well as office and corporate standards.
Skills:
- Three years of relevant experience (health care, veterinary profession, service business, etc.) is required, along with direct supervision experience (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
- Equivalent office management experience (2+ years) will be considered.
- Ability to effectively communicate and analyze data, as well as the confidence to address and resolve issues among employees.
- One must be able to manage all departmental tasks in addition to communicating (verbally and in writing) with patients, physicians, and other departments.
- It’s crucial to have a firm grasp of HR fundamentals including record keeping, confidentiality, and the law.
