Full-Time Swim Instructors/Lifeguards – Budaiya
Job Description
Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of pool users and spectators by educating and promoting safe recreational behaviors and attitudes, as well as enforcing safety legislation and responding effectively to emergencies. Individuals must be capable of working alone and as part of a broader staff team. This job requires the ability to engage politely and respectfully with the public in a variety of situations. Lifeguards may be required for special events, evenings, weekends, and split hours.

Qualifications:
- Responds courteously to members’ and visitors’ inquiries, gives information according with the assignment’s scope, and addresses complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in maintaining a variety of accident reports and possess the necessary reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills in English to do the work.
- You’ll need to thoroughly clean everything in your backyard, from the pool decks and furniture to the fence and flowerbeds, to get it ready for summer.
- Participates in the maintenance of the pool and surrounding deck areas, including the pool house and gutters, as well as the chemical monitoring of the pool.
- In addition to being a lifeguard, they also do jobs like preventing accidents and making sure the water is safe.
- To manage aquatic services in accordance with the club’s policies, which may include instructing swimmers, overseeing group swim activities, and assisting with other aquatic program activities.
- Follows all pool safety rules and procedures and makes sure that these safe working practices and procedures, as well as existing policies, rules and regulations, are adhered to.
- Keep an eye out for any violations of the pool’s rules or laws that could put their health and safety at risk.
- You are responsible for cleaning the pool deck, break room, bathrooms, and drains.
- Keeps an eye on members and visitors while they are in the pool area and makes sure they follow all of the Club’s safety rules and regulations.
Skills:
- It is necessary to be able to build and maintain good working connections with coworkers, departments, and members of the public.
- It is required that you have at least three months of lifeguarding experience.
- The American Red Cross’s Lifeguard Training, Community First Aid, and CPR certification must be current for the professional rescuer.
- This position requires the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- It is important to be able to work with people who have disabilities.
