Qualifications:
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify problems before they become serious and alert the department or store manager who is responsible for fixing any that are found to be broken.
- Execute clerical chores as required, such as ordering and delivering supplies to crews, providing and loading printer paper and ribbons, publishing bulletins and notifications, and compiling and distributing reports. Perform clerical responsibilities as directed.
- Composes merchandise in allowed area, removes cardboard from shelves when product is acquired, and places into bailer to build product displays and maintain excellent product presentation.
- Keep up-to-date on department offerings and be able to answer customers’ questions and propose products.
- Maintaining a nice manner includes welcoming customers with a smile, addressing their queries, and transporting their belongings as necessary.
- Shopping carts are collected and placed in a cart corral by this employee. Maintains a clean parking lot and communicates with management about any occurrences, acts, or concerns that occur on the store’s grounds.
- Consistently adheres to the company’s safety policies in order to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working and shopping environment. All rules and procedures of the company are adhered to.
- Operating the floor scrubber, garbage compactor, and cardboard baler equipment in a safe and efficient way in accordance with established safety regulations.
- Regular housekeeping activities such as sweeping and mopping the floors, aiding with fast spill clean-ups, and completing other jobs that need specific equipment.
- Carry out the necessary documentation and collect the required deposits to set up new water connections. The administration and production of monthly bills is taken care of. Collections are made by using the Water Crane.
Skills:
- A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required for all candidates, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical instructions, brief communications, and memoranda may be easily understood by someone who has this ability. Simple correspondence writing ability. Skills in one-on-one communication and small-group presentations to business partners, customers, and colleagues.
- being able to communicate effectively in the English language, both orally and in writing. The ability to communicate effectively with the general public as well as with coworkers is essential.
- Capable of managing phone calls and walk-in consumers. Must be meticulous in order to input accurate data into the system. Must be able to operate with a calculator and Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be a people person with a passion for helping the public.
- Use of whole numbers and common fractions in addition to decimals when multiplying and dividing in all units of measure. The ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and other ratios. Accuracy in counting back change, counting money, and keeping a cash drawer in balance are required.
